Suer received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey (2010). She obtained both an M.S. (2016) and Ph.D. (2023) in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey under the supervision of Prof. S. Birgül Tantekin-Ersolmaz. During her Ph.D., she was awarded a Fulbright Ph.D. Dissertation Grant to work as a visiting PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Benny Freeman in Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in 2021.  The dissertation title was “Novel Thin Film Nanocomposite Desalination Membranes with Enhanced Boron Removal Capacity”. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher, jointly advised by Prof. Benny Freeman, Prof. Nathaniel Lynd and Prof. Zachariah Page at UT Austin.
