Jaechul received his B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering (ChBE) from Inha University (2015), M.S. in Polymer Science and Engineering from University of Massachusetts Amherst (2018), and Ph.D. in ChBE from University of Colorado Boulder (2023). During his Ph.D., he conducted research on developing cocontinuous polymeric nanomaterials using random blocks in a robust way under the supervision of Prof. Ryan C. Hayward. The dissertation title was “Architectural Design of Blocky Copolymers to Promote Disordered Cocontinuous Phases”. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Texas at Austin, working in the group of Dr. Zak A. Page. His research focuses on photo-aligning liquid-crystalline polymers and designing bio-inspired materials.
