Lynn received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM) in 2019. While at SMCM, Lynn synthesized novel mechanochromic fluorescent dyes useful for applications in biotechnology under the guidance of Dr. Daniel T. Chase. Also at SMCM, Lynn was the president of her college’s American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology student chapter. During her undergraduate career Lynn was also awarded a summer NSF REU at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). While at UNCC, Lynn synthesized novel stable hexacoordinate silicon complexes for organic electronic devices with the guidance of Dr. Thomas A. Schmedake. Lynn is now pursuing a PhD in chemistry here at UT.
