Jinwon Seo received his bachelor’s degree in Applied chemistry from Kyung-hee university in 2014 and subsequently moved to Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) to obtain a Master’s & PhD in Chemistry with Prof. Christopher W. Bielawski in 2015. His primary research focus was on the design & synthesis of novel polymeric materials via ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) with four-membered cyclobutene derivatives. After receiving his PhD in 2020, Jinwon continued his career at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) as a Senior Researcher, where he examined chemical & mechanical properties of polymeric materials. In 2021, he moved to The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) to work with Prof. Zachariah A. Page as a postdoctoral scholar. At UT Austin, Jinwon focused on the synthesis and characterization of liquid crystalline materials.
