Hyeong Seok received his B.S. degree (2015) in Chemistry from the University of catholic in Korea and his Ph.D. degree (2021) in Chemistry from Korea University. During his Ph.D. he developed fluorescent materials for biomedical applications under the supervision of Prof. Jong Seung Kim. The title of his dissertation was “Design, Synthesis and Characterization of Cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) Targeting Molecular Diagnosis and Theranosis”. After receiving his Ph.D., he joined KRICT (Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology) as a postdoctoral researcher, working on precisely-controlled photosensitizers (2023). He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) in the group of Prof. Zachariah A. Page. His research focuses on developing photo-driven initiators, catalysts, and caging agents for polymer applications.
