Elizabeth received a B.S. degree in Bioengineering from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in 2022. While at FGCU, Elizabeth conducted research with Dr. Arsalan Mirjafari on the synthesis of amino acid-based ionic liquids and their ability to capture carbon dioxide directly from ambient air. Elizabeth also completed an internship at the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University where she worked with students from around the US to research and develop improved PPE systems for COVID-19. Elizabeth is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering here at UT.
